The Learning Technologies Awards gala evening is always a very special night for all those involved in the eLearning Community. This year it was extra special for Learn Appeal as we were able to say thank you to the team at Appitierre for all the effort and support they have and continue to provide to the charity.
Wes Atkinson received the inaugural Learn Appeal Award on behalf of Appitierre from Jonathan Satchell, Chair of Trustees and Lesley Price, Senior Consultant. The award is particularly special as it is made from traditional Kenyan soapstone and was carved and crafted by a local artisan in Nyamira County where the Learn Appeal Capsules are being piloted.
We were also able to show a video of learners in rural Kenya using the Capsules. As you can see from the images in the video, rural life is very different in Nyamira to what we are used to in the developed world where we can access information and learning at the click of a button.
